Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton lead CMA nominees

Taylor Swift, Jason Aldean, Brad Paisley and Blake Shelton received multiple nominations for the 45th annual CMA Awards, which take place Nov. 9 in Nashville.
All four country stars are in the running in five categories each, but Aldean's CMA nominations are the first of his career. The Georgia native received nominations for Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for "My Kinda Party," as well as Single of the Year and Musical Event of the Year, both for "Don't You Wanna Stay."
Paisley will join Aldean in the race for four of the same categories: Entertainer of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for "This is Country Music" and Music Event of the Year for "Old Alabama." These five nominations raise Paisley's total CMA nominations to 57, putting him in the No. 3 spot for the most career nominations in the award show's history.
Blake Shelton, CMA's current Male Vocalist of the Year trophy winner, is in the running to retain the title, as well as Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year for "All About Tonight," Single of the Year for "Honey Bee," and Music Video of the Year for the same track.
Taylor Swift is the country songstress with the most nominations with five potential wins. The 2009 Entertainer of the Year is again in the running for that prize, as well as for Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year for "Speak Now," Music Video of the Year and Song of the Year, both for "Mean."
The Band Perry and the Zac Brown Band received four nominations each, while Kenny Chesney, Sara Evans and Carrie Underwood also racked up nominations.
Country superstars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood will host CMA Awards for the fourth time. The 45th annual awards ceremony takes place Nov. 9 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena and will be broadcast live on ABC-TV nationwide.
Tickets for the show go on sale Sept. 24 via Ticketmaster.
